About NCDA
The Nebraska Choral Directors Association was founded in 1962, just 3 years after our parent organization, the American Choral Directors Association. NCDA is a non-profit professional organization whose membership is composed of choral musicians from schools, colleges, universities, churches, community and professional groups. As a chapter of the national organization NCDA members are among 18,000 directors representing more than one million singers across the United States.
NCDA events and publications provide Nebraska educators with opportunities in the choral field that surpass standard professional development. Members are interacting on Twitter, Facebook, Google and other internet locations. We are truly engaged in 21st Century Learning, sharing innovative ideas and connecting in meaningful ways.
“NCDA is a group of specialists working together to improve the musical education and experience of their singers. The support and encouragement shared through its members is unmatched anywhere else.” – Jessica Hazelton
